Glysantin G65 Coolant

Glysantin G65 coolant is a radiator antifreeze based on HOAT. It is particularly suitable for the effective protection of cooling circuits in passenger car internal combustion engines with water cooling against high and low temperatures. As a PSi-OAT coolant, Glysantin G65 is a hybrid coolant, which is also abbreviated as HOAT coolant.

This name is derived from the fact that Glysantin G65 is a HOAT radiator antifreeze containing phosphates, silicates and organic additives. OAT stands for "Organic Acid Technology", HOAT for "Hybrid Organic Acid Technology".

Glysantin coolant: What are the differences?

One of the most frequently asked questions in connection with coolants: What are the differences? Isn't coolant the same as coolant? A widespread misconception: Glysantin is the same as Glysantin. Before you buy coolant in the ATO24 online store, we explain why this is not true and how to find the right coolant for your car or motorcycle!

Like all other coolants, the products in the Glysantin coolant product series differ in their specifications and approvals, which they fulfill. After all, not every coolant can be filled into every car. You must use the information in your vehicle manual as a guide. Here you will find either a specification according to the Glysantin system (i.e. a specification such as "G65", which directly indicates a product), one according to the Volkswagen system (e.g. "Use G12evo coolant") or a release such as VW TL-774-L or Mercedes-Benz MB 325.0.

You can now clearly determine the correct Glysantin coolant according to this specification or release. Alternatively, you can use the Glysantin approval list, which allows allocation by car make and year of manufacture.

Glysantin G65 corresponds to VW G12evo (TL-774-L)

The Glysantin Standard (named after their product names G65, G48 etc.), which many vehicle manufacturers use as a guideline for the release of a coolant in their vehicle models, can usually be translated directly into the system of G Standards of the Volkswagen VAG Group: The Glysantin G65 standard corresponds to the VW G12evo standard and the VW approval VW TL-774-L, which the Glysantin G65 radiator antifreeze and rust protection agent has been given by Volkswagen. Glysantin G65 can therefore be used in the following Volkswagen Group passenger cars

• all VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat, Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti vehicles from June 2018

Volkswagen Group vehicles from model year 06/2018 onwards are filled with coolant according to the modern VW G12evo standard at the factory. If you have a vehicle to which this applies, we recommend Glysantin G65 coolant to top up your coolant or replace it completely.

Under certain circumstances, it is also possible to replace a coolant that has met one of the previous VW standards in your vehicle. Please contact us directly or your vehicle manufacturer to identify the previously filled coolant and to determine its miscibility with Glysantin G65.

Please note that there are now several current approvals for coolants in the Volkswagen Group and check whether you have to use a coolant in accordance with one of the subsequent approvals. Glysantin G65 Ready Mix or concentrate? 

Glysantin G65 products are available as practical Ready Mix or as concentrate variants. While the Ready Mix is a coolant that has already been prepared for use and filling, the Glysantin G65 concentrate must be mixed with (distilled) water. The following mixing ratios are recommended:

Mixing ratio 1:2 (30% Glysantin G65 + 70% water): Frost protection down to -20°C
Mixing ratio 1:1.5 (40% Glysantin G65 + 60% water): Frost protection down to -27°C 
Mixing ratio 1:1 (50% Glysantin G65 + 50% water): Frost protection down to -40°C
